I spend plenty of time in SL... Lately I have even been spending time there without doing anything! Just being there, doing nothing or searching for anything... It gets boring real quick when you do that, yet, you don't log off... You just stay.....

Last night wasn't so bad. Talked to some friends, danced at sweethearts with some lovely ladies, made a few new acquaintances... And then I started to get bored. Friends were busy, dance partners had to leave due to RL and there I was again facing emptiness in a bustling world of activity.

Luckly another friend of mine come online and managed to salvage me from writing yet another 'blues' post in here today.

We talked a lot, one of those conversations that taste like cherries (you just keep on going). Inevitably we ended talking about relationships and SL. I've had my share and nearly all my friends (who actually spend time in SL) had their own long and windy tales of love, treason, passion, break ups and so on...

What strikes me the most is that its an almost universal thing in SL, to search or to find love. As my friend said: "We're emotional creatures, created to feel!"

Eh, can't disagree with that. The thing is: it's quite irrational and inefficient for a random accidental World to develop these sentient emotional creatures. I mean... Why? What's the purpose of feelings when they cloud your judgment, impair logic and... Well, make you feel miserable most of the time?

My point is: there must be a reason and purpose for us to be emotional and so damn needy :) i'll leave you to drawn your own conclusions...

Other interesting thing that come up in our conversation can be summed up with an old Portuguese saying: "o velho porque não pode e o jovem porque não sabe..." that loosely translates to: "the old man 'cuz he can't and the young man 'cuz he doesn't know...". Basically when it comes to love, teenagers apart, the young ones are afraid of taking the risks, wounded by previous relationships and the older ones are eager to feel those rushing feelings again but are held back bye their ties built over years...

Its a funny little world full of complicated little people...

I take a lot of shit from people. I've known this for a while, but recently started to think about it. And, I came to the conclusion that, yes, I take a lot of shit from people. I don't like it, and certainly I don't normally set myself up for it. It just happens that way. I don't like it anyway. I don't really know how it happens either, it just does. Like, the Jason thing (he goes off and doesn't talk for a while and then comes back and expects me to be all lovey-dovey like I was before), and the Spencer thing (not talking to me for forever, then I go do random comments out of boredom and says that I must be "ragging" and that I'm bipolar "me thinks someone forgot their daily dose of bipolar meds again..." he said). And the Dustin thing (he leaves randomly, without saying bye, and a lot of the time it's when I've said be right back, and then I get back and he's gone). And the Falcon thing (that whole thing was me taking shit...And yes, I'm still going on about that [and I will until there is someone to fill the void that he made]). And just about a lot of people.
I don't know why I do it. I think it's because I don't want anyone to be angry at me, disappointed with me, or not like me. Yes, I want to be liked by people - wow!, what an idea. Like you didn't know that. But, I guess I don't do it well, if you haven't noticed. I take a lot, though, because I think that if I do, they'll like me more - that's not my real train of thought, because its in the subconscious. Anyway, it's that sort of thing. I know everyone won't like me, but I guess I try. Richie, a guy I talked over Spring Break, said that I can't make everyone happy, and that's okay - this because he wanted a playtoy, and, well, I didn't want to be a playtoy. So, he's right, but, I don't know, I don't want to admit it.
It's an issue though. Because, well, I've had to admit it many times - I put up with a lot of shit. A lot more than I have to. I do it because I think it's okay. With Falcon, I never told him a lot, because I figured that every time he left, that after he came back, he would see how bad it was, and I wouldn't have to tell him, that he would see it and not leave again. I was, of course, always wrong. Dustin made me admit it one time - about him being stubborn, yet "you like me anyway" he said, and well, sure. And I could go on but that would require more thinking, and I don't want to get off-topic.
Either way,I take a lot of shit from people, and don't go against it. I do occasionally, but mainly I do whatever grudgingly, and complaining in my head. Maybe I'm broken, I'm too reserved. Which, well, that's a possibility. But, oh well. The thing is, I don't want to take people's shit anymore. I don't want to grow to be the girl that ends up being someone's bitch, because I don't know any better. Which is really funny, because I remember Falcon saying one time that if I was ever not with him, it would be a really good chance that I end up in an abusive relationship (hmmm.....ironic? YES - as he was emotionally abusive, DUR). But, I mean, he does have a point - I put up with a lot. Maybe he knew that....I guess he probably did.
ANYWAY!
I don't want to take it any more.
However, knowing me, I probably will. And keep on with it, complaining to myself all the time, and just doing whatever I'm told.
Because I am, after all, a creature of habit. If you haven't noticed.

This is a very true saying. When ever you do anything - start a business, clean a room, give a speech - you should have a plan. The amount of planning needed varies considerably. If you are beginning a business, you should write down your plan. It should be one to ten pages long. If you are cleaning your room, you probably do not need to write down your plan. Just think over the basic outline in your head.
If you do not have a plan, you will be easily distracted. You will never be focused on one thing for long. Instead of starting a business, you will almost start five different businesses. This is a topic that I need to work on. I do not plan as much as I should. In fact, most of my planning is done in my head. As a result, I forget what I was planning to do. Planning is a very important part of life. The Bible also says that planning is important.
