E' da ore e ore che perdo la vista sulla rassegna, che viene mandata aggiornata continuamente, solo starle dietro e' un lavoro! La cosa incredibile e' che qui nessuno sembra avere l'esaurimento ma tutti sono sorridenti!

Como se habrán dado cuenta (y los despistados que no, les informo) he dedicado algún tiempito a actualizar los links de las páginas que regularmente leo, reviso, consulto, etc. etc. quizá alguna de ellas pueda ser de su propio interés, así que pueden comenzar a echar un ojo pizpireto y audaz y ver si encuentran algo que les sea de utilidad.

Para su comodidad, (bueno más bien para mi comodidad, pero me gusta ser amable con las visitas) he colocado los links en temas a modo de sea un poco más fácil su búsqueda, he agregado algunos tópicos y he ajustado otros que había, quedando del siguiente modo:

This study done at Purdue showed that mothers who scored high on measures of verbal aggression tended to direct their young children's behavior, while mothers scoring low on these measures followed their children's lead during play activities.  The study supports the importance of parents' give and take in early communication development.

Most recently, these political ads taken huge strides in the form of attacks back and forth from the two remaining candidates, Barack Obama and John McCain. Although Obama has just recently started sending out "attack" ads, mostly as responses to McCain's harsh accusations. The first real sign of this was McCain's "Celebrity" ad, which was the result of a non lethal (in the sense of attacks) but heated standoff between the two senators.

The ad, sent out by a semingly fearless McCain squad, compared Obama to the star-struck Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, and was responded to in a surprising fashion -- by Hilton herself. The response was brilliantly played out to both send a message to McCain, and -- as another topic -- improve Hilton's public status. It worked, flooding out McCain's original ad and setting the stage for Obama's more political response, which delivered a more serious but at the same time up-beat message. 

This was really the start of McCain's continuous but mild public downpour, in which his previous political gaffes have come back to haunt him, including his Iraq-Pakistan border nightmare as well as his foreign policy mistake in Jordan, pictured, which occurred during a press confrence.Obama, though, has never capitalized on these public weaknesses. Taking a position many politicians in his would have quickly decided against, the senator will only fight once attacked. This way, not only has he kept a very clean slate, he has had time to asses the attacks aimed at him, quickly differ what he can say, and then release a public spot with many more directions and points to make than McCain. This, however, has never been referred to as "weak." Obama's team has carefully picked apart attacks (some of this is public) and assessed where they can attack and how they can cover up their softer political spots.

A great example of this was Obama's second major attack ad towards McCain, named "Fix the Economy". The ad was placed a few days after the "celebrity" fiasco, and is applauded by myself as well as many political experts for its seemingly perfect timing.

The spot aired during the dubbed "aftermath" of the war-like celebrity dispute, where the public was waiting for more moves from the two campaigns. Obama immediately recognized the situation and sent out what I like to call his "smoke grenade." Geared towards a topic not mentioned around that time due to the previous Iraq-centered debates, Obama took footage of McCain claiming the American economy was in good shape and threw it against clips of American's disagreeing with him intently. The ad was politically and factually sound down to the finest details, even including the states the Americans lived in, which were battleground swing-states for Obama and McCain (Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky ect.) that are currently up for grounds in a political perspective. 

I call the ad a "smoke grenade" because it both did tremendous damage and put a cloud of smoke in-between the conservatives and the general public. The points made in the ad sent the McCain party wheeling for a response, and the eerie gap of time made an effective bad aftertaste towards the republicans publicly. What I mean by this is since political attacks were plentiful up to that point for weeks, the world had prepared itself for a McCain attack. But in a sense, it never came. So who can we credit this to? In my opinion, it has really been the work of Obama's campaign working together, headed by the smart PR decisions of Jim Messina, the Chief of Staff. 

So as McCain keeps pumping out attack ads (here is the newest and the response), Obama will keep bouncing them back in the same way he always does -- sifting through the ad and hitting hard on the facts. And that's why Obama is not only winning in the PR department as well as the television side -- he's dominating.

Basta sciogliere i tubicini di vetro con la sputafuoco e poi si incollano…”. Sarà, ma credo che qualcuno abbia lavorato sodo per imparare. www.abatezanetti.it è il sito della Scuola del Vetro Abate Zanetti, a Venezia, che forma artigiani e artisti dal 1862.

Troviamo altra ispirazione cristallina dal trio di sconosciuti che ascotiamo in un campiello: utilizzano un’arpa di vetro, una marimba di vetro ed un verrofono. Il duo polacco di Anna e Arkadiusz Szafraniec preferisce invece dichiarare che loro suonano calici da vino; sul sito www.glassharp.eu si possono ascoltare alcuni mp3 di loro esecuzioni.

Più complesso da realizzare dev’essere stato l’Organo a Bottigliette di Birra, sul sito www.petersontuners.com, messo a punto dai tecnici dell’azienda fondata da uno dei pionieri dell’elettronica applicata alla musica, l’americano Richard H. Peterson.
Sarà anche una trovata pubblicitaria, ma ha il pregio di ricordare a tutti una delle caratteristiche più importanti  del vetro: è riciclabile all’infinito. www.coreve.it è il sito del consorzio istituito dai principali gruppi vetrari per coordinare ed ottimizzare la raccolta ed il riciclo del vetro in italia.

L’australiano Simon Harrison trasforma le bottiglie in bracciali, che poi distribuisce attraverso i circuiti eco-solidali o direttamente su www.harrison-design.com .  Oppure, per altri gioielli, ricicla i pezzetti arrotondati che si trovano in spiaggia. In America, invece, esiste tanto di associazione dei cercatori professionali di “Autentico Vetro Marino”, e sul sito http://seaglassassociation.org si battono contro le contraffazioni, organizzano festivals ed eleggono il Frammento dell’Anno.

Altri americani hanno preferito godersi spiaggia e vetro commissionando allo studio di architettura  Sagan Piechota Architects una casa fatta al 90 % di vetro. Qualche imagine ed un articolo su questo gioiello sul sito http://box.plotcad.it . Per i timidi c’è l’alternativa ungherese, cioè muri di cemento che fanno passare la luce. www.litracon.hu è il sito dell’azienda che ha pensato di farcire i mattoni di fibra ottica: da fuori un bunker, dentro una cattedrale.

Ahoy, it's Link From The Legend of Zelda!  I spent about half an hour sketching this from this beautiful reference picture using a grid aide. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this process, heres a brief description as to how this is done:

1. Find a reference picture
2. Apply a grid to the picture
3. Create another grid with the ratio that you wish to enlarge or draw the new image
4. Use the grid to help distinguish where lines meet to form the shapes of the figure.

When drawing the new image, I like to start from the center of the image and work outwards.  It gives me a better sense of proportion.  Often when starting from the arms of legs I can become loss in how big they are actually supposed to be. Drawing the body first helps generate a solid idea of the right size compared to the body.

In the end, you can get a pretty accurate drawing of the image you were trying to replicate!  This is a fun way of learning to draw shapes and figures while creating a copy.
