I mentioned again to my mother when she asked me if I had my diary over here with me - she knows fine fucking well I don't but alas, evidently she hadn't been through my luggage yet -

"Mum, I've already explained this to you & to the police that it's not a diary..."

-at which point she cut me off to say-

"No, it's a journal"

*Rolls eyes*

Yes, that's exactly what it is. It's not a diary it's a journal.

Not unlike her 2 cents during my rant about the Messiah's trip round Europe & the fact that none of these fuckers even have a vote anyway.

"How do they not have a vote like?!"

{{Crickets}}

"Well....would you like me to draw you a map? - Here's *Europe* & here's *America*..."

So I mentioned that the police have been chapping at the bit to speak to me. Well, Bear phoned this new Sergent on my behalf yesterday & tried to rein his ass in a bit - I do not want to speak to anyone right now, just like I don't want anything done right now, especially not whilst I'm here. However he phoned me today to "introduce himself" & I tell you, I couldn't get a fucking word in edge-ways.

I was already aware of this but he told me again that, depending on the report, he will have to act in the "public interest" & march ahead because of my abusers two children....

Luckily Bear had told him last night that if he did such a thing, he'd be on his own because I sure as hell wouldn't be cooperating because like I said, he didn't even give me time to breathe.

Point is, those two little brats are either an issue or not. Make a fucking decision right?!

And you know, three months ago I gave the word to get the ball rolling, over a month ago someone actually got off their arse & took the bloody statement, & no, it's still not here yet. So, tell me, in all that time how many "other victims" has he abused? Because wasn't it oh so important that I make my statement against him to "save the children"?! I hardly think another 9 weeks is going to make any difference, do you?!

But seriously, he's going to read that statement & see that one of that bastards kids, his daughter, is the very age I was when he started abusing me, so lets face it, he's going to go ahead.

Before terminating the call he managed to slip in that he & the other Sergent would be coming to speak with me once the statement had been received.

Let me say this nice & slow - No, they fucking will not be popping in on me to discuss what's going to happen next, because nothing is happening next until I leave the goddamn country.

Not two minutes after the phone call ended, Bear picked up from his end & tried to phone this guy to give him what for, but what do you know, he was miraculously off-duty, what with it being a Friday afternoon & all. So I was basically a last minute job that he hurried along so he could bugger off & enjoy his weekend.

Nice huh?!

New Delhi, Sept. 4 The telecom tribunal today adjourned the hearing on the issue of allowing dual technology to Reliance Communications after the GSM operators requested for more time to file a detailed response. The Telecom Dispute Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) said that the responsibility of delaying the adjudication process would be on the GSM operators.

“An impression is made outside that we are delaying the process,” said Mr Justice Arun Kumar, Chairman of TDSAT. The request from GSM operators came as a surprise because all along they have been urging the tribunal for a quick hearing.

The Cellular Operators’ association of India said that GSM operators had to seek an adjournment since they wanted time to study the Delhi High Court’s order on the same issue. The High Court had dismissed GSM operators’ plea against the Government’s decision to allow dual technology.

COAI is, however, yet to take a decision on whether to challenge Delhi High Court’s decision in the Division Bench or move to the Supreme Court. The TDSAT was to start final hearing today on the petition.

Earlier COAI’s rival lobby group - Association of Unified Telecom Services Providers of India withdrew its petition against the GSM operators on the issue of levying a charge on operators with more than 6.2 Mhz spectrum.

Industry watchers said that the two decisions from the rival camps could be an indication of a thaw in relationship between GSM and CDMA operators.

However, COAI said that there concerns with Government’s decision to allow dual technology to CDMA operators still remains.

Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party MP Mr Amar Singh has shot off another letter to the Prime Minister insisting that the Government should charge a fee from GSM operators for having spectrum beyond 4.4 Mhz.

Mr Singh’s second letter follows Department of Telecom’s decision to reject the proposals sent by the SP leader earlier.

DoT has instead proposed its own formula for charging operators with more than 6.2 Mhz.

However in the latest letter to Prime Minister, Mr Singh said that all the new operators were being given only 4.4 Mhz start up spectrum and, therefore, DoT should consider that as the upper limit for calculating spectrum charges and not 6.2 Mhz.

On the practical side of things, I’ve been looking for a second iPhone 3G case - one that lets

On the practical side of things, I've been looking for a second iPhone 3G case - one that lets you use all the features of the phone, rather than the 'tuck it away' leather slip case I bought. I've always known that Griffin make good products so I was fairly confident that after some good reviews on the Apple Store webite, that the Griffin Wave case would be up to the job. So I ended up buying a two-pack of these cases off Amazon UK and as a result I now have a black and a green(!) Griffin Wave case.

Once past the mass of plastic packaging (come on Griffin, haven't you read the news about the planet?), you find a three piece plastic case together with an instruction sheet. The instruction sheet is potentially unnecessary as fitting the case is really a no-brainer. There is a front bezel, a clear screen protector and the sculpted case back, and if you don't know where those go then you must be hung-over! You place the bezel face down and slip the screen protector into in, taking care not to get any finger marks on the inside. Next you place the iPhone into the bezel, with the ear speaker and home button lining up with their corresponding holes in the screen protector. Finally you clip the back of the case to the bezel, taking care to note the clever under/over arrangement of the way the two halves lock together. About 60 seconds and it's all done.

The materials used to make the case are good, the bezel and case back being a translucent coloured plastic with a smooth non-slip feel to them that resists scratching from everyday knocks rather well. The transparent screen cover is completely clear, so your iPhone screen is as bright and clear as ever. In use I found the screen cover to be actually quite good, despite some reviewers over at Apple having their doubts. Yes, I was expecting it to de-sensitize the iPhone screen itself and make it less responsive, but if fitted properly you barely notice it, and I can still activate the phone's interface with gentle touches.

[caption id="attachment_225" align="alignleft" width="128" caption="One minor flaw"][/caption]

Because the iPhone is such a sleek design, almost any case of this sort is going to make it look bulkier and cheaper, but looks aside the fit and finish are good apart from one possible design flaw. The left side of the case has an aperture in it to allow use of the mute switch and volume control. This means that at the top left corner the two sides of the case aren't clipped together and will easily come apart (as shown in the photo) allowing dirt to get in. That said, the rest of the case is quite firmly locked which brings me on to a second point. If you're an iPhone dock user then this isn't the case for you. The phone cannot be placed in the dock with the case fitted, and despite the issue with the top left corner, getting the case off takes a fair old bit of effort. Of course there's an aperture at the bottom of the case where you can still attach the sync cable.

In the hand, the phone still has that comfortable sculpted feel with the case fitted, and the translucent finish means you can still see the Apple logo on the back. The screen protector does however suffer the same smudging from finger marks as the iPhone screen itself so you'll still end up having to clean the face. One final thing I noted is that dirt does tend to collect between the edge of the bezel and the screen protector and that dust can make it's way under the screen protector via the opening where the home switch is. However, assuming your home and pockets are less dusty than mine you might not find this a problem.

Overall I do like this case despite it's minor flaws and if I wasn't a perfectionist it would probably do me just fine. So I would score it a 4 out of 5 and would say that if you want a hard case and don't use a dock then it's a pretty good choice. As for me, well I do have something else in the pipeline... ;-)
